Bio
Gabriele Lombardi is the co-founder and CTO of ARGO Vision, an Italian startup involved in Computer Vision solutions (from 2020, part of SEA Vision Group).
Gabriele has a PhD in Applied Mathematics for Computational Science from the University of Milan. He has a strong background in math, software engineering and programming, a dozen publications and 15+ years of experience in the field of Machine Learning and Computer Vision. Although amateur, he is a super passionate climber.
Abstract
Recent progress in the Machine Learning field, especially in deep learning, has enabled the definition of AI models to produce text-guided imagery resembling the works of professional human artists. In his lecture, Gabriele will demystify the technicalities behind these models through an overview of generative techniques.
