Jamila Mifdal and Teodora Selea present their project “SmartCrop” developed for the European Space Agency. In this presentation, they explain how artificial intelligence can improve the applications of earth observation in the field of agriculture. During the School of AI 2019, the two engineers explored crop classification as a starting point for use-cases and produced a very relevant proof of concept.
